1Personal data
The short version
  • We collect what a claim needs: contact details, passport or ID, flight and payment details (2.2).
  • We share them only to carry out your claim — with payment providers, advisers and service providers bound by data-protection agreements — or when the law requires it (3).
  • We keep your data only as long as reasonably necessary (4).
  • Marketing emails or SMS only if you opt in — unsubscribe anytime (6).
  • To see, correct or delete your data, write to privacy@stopdelay.com (2.5).
  • We record which steps of the claim form were used and any errors (no contact details), to improve the form. Kept for 90 days.

This summary helps you find your way. The full text below is what applies.

6Marketing messages

6.1

Clients may opt in to marketing emails or SMS. Consent must be freely given, specific and informed.

6.2

You can opt out at any time with the “Unsubscribe” link, or by writing to privacy@stopdelay.com.

7Cookies

7.1

Cookies are small text files stored by the computer browser to track usage patterns and record preferences.

7.2

Clients may refuse or delete cookies, though this may affect how well the website works.

7.3

Measuring our advertising. Only if you accept marketing cookies: when a claim that started from an advertisement of Google or Meta is signed, we report this from our server to that advertising partner, so that it can measure which advertisements lead to claims. We send the advertisement click identifier, the estimated value of the claim and, in hashed form (SHA-256), your e-mail address and phone number. We never send your name, passport, booking or claim details.

7.4

Google and Meta receive this data under their terms for advertisers, including their data processing terms, and may process it in the United States under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Hashed data is still personal data and is protected as such.

7.5

The advertising identifiers are kept with the claim for 180 days after it is signed. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the cookie settings; from then on nothing more is sent.

8Minors’ personal data

8.1

We target persons aged 18 years and above.

8.2

Personal data of persons under 18 requires the consent of a parent or guardian.

8.3

Personal data of a minor collected without that consent is deleted immediately.

9Updating personal data

Clients may ask us to update or correct their information at any time.

10Complaint

The client has a right to file a complaint regarding the processing of their personal data.
